At
Southminster there are many ways to participate in the planning and
organization of activities that help members of all our communities
around the globe.
ADULT INTEREST CENTER
(AIC): AIC provides programs, lunches and afternoon
activities for older adults in Fellowship Hall on most Fridays from
September through June. All are welcome!
AIC
offerings may include entertainment, lectures, luncheons, line dancing,
blood pressure checks, cards, crafts and day trips. There is a cost
associated with lunch and the day trips. May Newsletter
CHURCH AND COMMUNITY
COMMISSION: This Commission's purpose is to be aware of the
constantly changing needs of God's world and to make decisions as to
where Southminster can best provide assistance for these social
concerns and issues.
The ongoing projects and
relationships of the Commission include Interfaith Hospitality Network,
South Hills Interfaith Ministry, Academy House, Lydia's Place, and
Sojourner House.
SALT & LIGHT:
This team is involved in community service and mission at Southminster.
It performs one-day community service projects for area nonprofits such
as Habitat for Humanity,
Hosanna Industries, Neighborhood Academy, the Western Pennsylvania
Community Food Bank and others. For more details click
