Ring in the Christ - Tour 2008
The Southminster Ringers will depart from the Pittsburgh International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, at 1:12 p.m. and will arrive in Berlin, Germany, on July 3 at 8:05 a.m. The first evening will be spent in Goerlitz, Germany, where the Ringers will renew ties from former tours and make new friends between their concert and their home stays. The next few days will be spent in and near Prague in the Czech Republic. After a quick stop in Bratislava, in the Slovak Republic, the Ringers will spend several days in Poland.

Krakow will be the first stop in Poland and that will be followed by a day visiting Auschwitz. The next four days will be spent with our friends from Zelow. After rehearsing together, concerts are planned in neighboring communities where the Reformed Church has ties. Warsaw will be the last stop in Poland where we will visit with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Our ties with the Sisters began on Tour 2006 when we rang for their gathering in Rome. We have played for them in Pittsburgh since 2006 and we look forward to our time together in Warsaw.

Our final days will be back in Berlin where we will rehearse with the handbell team Bells Angels and then join with them for a final concert before we return to Pittsburgh.  Click here for more information.
