|Our mission is to promote the spiritual development of young people by pointing to Christ. We respond to the spiritual needs of our youth through church fellowship, Biblical teaching, relative programs, activities, and events. Our goal is to create an environment where youth can express their faith using their own words, actions and deeds. Furthermore, we will encourage them to use their individual talents to serve God’s will.|

|Service, Sabbath & Study|
The 2019 trip will be organized around the themes of Service, Sabbath, and Study as follows:
Service: We will spend a week in Crișcior, Romania at Casa Emanuel Home. Here will we lead a VBS, share in the life and activities of the children at the home, and also complete various facilities and maintenance projects around the home such as painting and landscaping.
Sabbath: Drawing on the traditions of Christian pilgrimage, we will hike portions of the Lutherweg (The Luther Trail) in Germany and reflect on our Christian faith as a journey.
Study: We will visit several historical sites which were significant in the life of Martin Luther and the Reformation – Erfurt, Stotternheim, Eisleben, Wartburg, Eisenach, and Wittenberg.
This trip is for graduating 9th through 12th graders who are active participants in the youth program at Southminster. The cost of the trip is $3,850 per person. Students will have the opportunity to participate in three church fundraisers and apply for a scholarship up to $500.
