|These are High School members of Southminster who have ringing experience, have shown their commitment to ringing and have been recommended by their previous director. They present a varied concert of sacred and concert works in a variety of venues. They tour abroad every two years for a three week period.|
The 2018 Tour took the Ringers to Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece where they worked with ringing ensembles in all three countries, provided music for worship services, and played concerts in castles, concert halls, and outdoor venues.

They meet on Tuesday evenings from 5-6 p.m. during the school year. Ringers 2 perform regularly for our Celebrations of Worship and occasionally perform concerts in the community.|

|Seeing everyone for the 50th Anniversary Reunion last May is still one of the highlights of a great year! For those who were unable to be with us, I hope that you will let us know when you are in town. You are a big part of our great tradition of ringing! We don’t have a lot of photos from the event, but I am sharing a few of them with you. I hope if brings back wonderful memories!|

A week after the reunion we had the joy of hosting 35 ringers from the Czech Republic. Tom and Jessica planted the seeds of their ringing when they took bells to Poland in 1999. When the pastors moved from Poland to the Czech Republic, they wanted bells - and they have built 3 teams of ringers in the last 9 years. This offshoot of our tours has been very special as we continue to visit The Good News Bells each summer. The 35 ringers (and some parents) enjoyed a whirlwind tour of Pittsburgh, the Malmark Bell factory, Annapolis, Washington, DC, and a visit to the Flynns in North Carolina.
The Southminster Ringers have had a busy beginning to the 51st season with 9 Christmas Concerts and the continuation of our outdoor ringing on Christmas Eve at the corner of Washington Road and Castle Shannon Boulevard. One of the highlights of each Christmas season has been ringing at the Allegheny County Jail and this year we were fortunate to have a county photographer join us to take some photos of the event. We normally are not allowed any kind of recording equipment, so this year was special and I wanted to share those photos with you also:
