At Southminster Presbyterian Church we believe in the God of the Bible who sent His son, Jesus, for the forgiveness of sin and the redemption of the world. Our identity is founded in who God says we are, rather than what the world says about us.
The congregation that would become Southminster Presbyterian Church was organized with 183 founding members on April 26, 1925 in the heart of the rapidly growing community of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Our newly constructed building housed worship for our community of faith for the first time on December 23, 1928 and our building was dedicated during a worship service on January 6, 1929. In the nearly 100 years since our congregation’s founding, we have grown alongside our community in joy, hope and transformation of life in and through Jesus Christ.
