Rev. Laura Bentley has worked in various ministry roles in the Pittsburgh region for over a decade. She brings a depth of experience and study in spiritual formation and youth ministry. She was ordained in 2017 by the Pittsburgh Presbytery as the Organizing Pastor of Sanctuary Faith Community, a new worshipping community in Lawrenceville that primarily reached young adults and people on the periphery of the Church.
Laura is a 2016 graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Church Planting. Since beginning ministry as a youth pastor in 2011, Laura has followed a call to walk alongside teens, young adults, and all those seeking God through the uncertainty and change. She feels called to preaching and teaching, to writing liturgy, and to connecting people more deeply into Christian community. Laura is passionate about helping people to notice God’s presence in their everyday lives, and to live out their faith beyond Sunday.
Laura lives with her family—her husband Ed, children Junia (7) and Oscar (3), and dogs Calvin and Waffles—in Mount Lebanon. In her downtime, Laura loves spending time outdoors, meeting friends for good coffee, and playing trivia games.
